Pardon my clumsey fingers. I hit the wrong button which sent my message to this site before I was finished with my inquiry about Dave at Montana Bullet Works in Billings, Montana. He shut down his casting business in mid october to take time off for some surgery and he advised to check back in mid november about when he may be back in business.

Do any of you good folks out Montana way know what his situation is? I hope his surgery went well and is recovering well and that he will be back in business soon.

I have sent a couple of emails to check in with him but have got no response. I hope he is ok.

He has provided me excellent quality bullets for my 84 trapdoor and I want to continue to use him if possible but if he is not going to be able to reopen I need to start looking for a duplicate source.

Any feedback on the status of MBW's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tater Pickens

I hope Dave is all right also. I have purchased some cast bullets off him. Not only did he have a great turnaround he had some great advise for loading.

Can anyone tell me if they have heard anything on Dave Jennnigs of Montana Bullet Works in Billings Montana. His web site advised  on 10-16-13 that he was shutting down for a while in order to have some surgery and to check back on his site mid november to see when he would be accepting new orders. I have checked his site often with no word of his return. i googled his business and got a phone number but it is no longer in service or disconnected. i called long distance information requesting the number for Dave Jennings or Montana Bullet Works at the address listed on his site and there was no listing...that is worrisome. I hope he is alright.

I have been a customer of his for sometime and have been very pleased with his product and service and do not want to change suppliers if possible.

More importantly tho is that he is alright.

Any one out there have any insight on his situation?

Just saw on the Montana Bullet Works site that due to limitations resulting from recent surgery that Dave Jennings  will no longer be able to operate MBW and it is for sale.

Hopefully some one will purchase his assets and continue to offer the fine bullets Dave did and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

That's a shame :( His 265g 38-55's were dynamite in my 1893 Marlin.
