As usual, I am.  This year it's still the old reliable .44 Super Blackhawk [200th Year].
The same one that has killed many whitetails and a couple of pronghorns.
Anyone else doing that in Ruger Land?

Well I will have a Ruger Blackhawk 357. on my hip just in case I have a close shot. I am planning to take my 73 ( lever )  in 45lc with her. Most all of my shots are under 50 yrs. Good luck to you. Hope to see some pictures as well as post one myself .

Well, I gotta admit I only shot one this season.
And I used the .50AE Desert Eagle on him.    :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

The SBk will have to wait until next fall.

Opening day. Got two. I decided to take my scoped 308 because I did not know if I was going to get another chance this season. But I always take my Blackhawk .357 . This was my second deer and I only had 3 rounds in the mag . I used two on the first one so I only had 1 left for this little Buck. After I shot him he got back up and tried to leave five minutes later. So I had to put a round from my pistol to change his mind. You can see where I nailed him with the Blackhawk. About a 22 yard shot. Should make some sweet bologna. ;D     If I get out later this week I'll take my lever gun. But I have to admit with my eyes the scope is a big help.

I got a big doe with my 357 Blackhawk back in 1992, and another nice doe with my 45 Colt Blackhawk on 07. Still got the 45!

I'm never in the deer stand without a revolver for the closer shots, usually a Super Redhawk in either 44 mag or 480 ruger.

Many, many years ago I used a Super Black Hawk for deer, bear and javalina.  Got 2 out of 3.  Damn deer never got close enough.  Got him the next season with a bow.

And got another doe this year (2014) with my 45 Blackhawk.

Hello the Camp,
I have just requested permission to join since I was looking through the threads and saw this one...
I have shot everything from gophers to elk w/ my Blackhawk.  Mostly I carry her now when there is a renegade bull (bovine) in the hills that one might need to kill before he goes to the slaughter house.  I started with 250gr keith's, and have since moved up to 300 gr jacketed or cast w/ 24 grs. H 110 w/ a magnum primer.  These situations don't allow for failure, and my Blackhawk has never let me down.
