Anybody have a good accurate load for an Uberti Cattleman .45 LC with a 4 5/8" barrel? I have been trying loads with Unique and Bullseye. So far 9 gr of Unique seems to be the best, but still not great. Running about 2.5"-3" so far off a rest. Any suggestions?

Every gun is different, just as is every shooter. You will need to try several loads. There are few shortcuts. I will tell you this however, that IMO they are far easier to make shoot well with real blackpowder, which they were designed for.  ;)

Try Titegroup, it is the smokeless powder I've experienced best overall accuracy consistency in the different Uberti revolvers I've played with.

Some are still better than others and I've not messed with any of them little short barrels for accuracy tests. To me worrying about accuracy in a 4 3/4 inch barrel is ineffectual.

I agree with Fox Creek Kid on the black powder, they all seem to shoot good with real black.

Back that Unique load off to 7 grains, and use a 250 gr. RNFP or 255 gr SWC. This is my accuracy load for my Uberti Artillary model 5 1/2". Then if you want a jacketed accuracy round, use a Nosler 250 gr. RNJHP in front of 7.9 gr. of Unique.
Both of these loads print about same POI.

My piece likes the big bullets for accuracy.

Thanks guys for the replies. I will keep working with it.
