Yesterday I picked up one and took it out to the range today;

It looks really cool and shot fine.
HOWEVER, after just 15 rounds the front sight came off.  Fortunately I was able to find it.
Looking for advice on how to get it permanently attached.

 ::)  I had the same thing happen with my Cimarron 1872 open top . i just used 30,000 lb 2 part epoxy from Kmart. That was 2 years and and prolly a thousand rounds ago and she still as snug as a bug in a rug.
Aye its been quite a ride aint it?

The staked front sight on a pal's Colt 1911 came off during an IPSC match. During a break, we epoxied it back on with LePage's 'Five Minute Epoxy' someone had in a tool kit.
He finished the match with it and decided to see how long it would last before he did a permanent repair. It was close to a year later before it fell off again, having withstood thousands of rds of .45 loads during that time.

OK thanks guys.
I was hoping something like epoxy would work.
I seriously doubt I'll ever put more than a thousand rounds through it.

I happen to like JB Weld.  It is a type of two part epoxy.  The key, with any adhesive, is absolutely CLEAN mating surfaces.  ALL gun cleaning solvents leave a residue.  After cleaning the area (small screwdriver, clean out the slot) then clean the residue off with denatured alcohol.  Glue it back together and let it sit for 24 hours.  It may well last forever.

Well .... I just remembered the MWNN has a "pin" front sight.  Lightly coat the walls of the hole in the top of the barrel and lightly coat the base of the pin.  Use a small padded hobby "C" clamp to seat the sight and push out the trapped air.  It won't take a lot of pressure.  You can also make a replacement sight from readily available brass rod stock.

OK thanks for the additional tips.
Much appreciated.

Out of curiosity, at close to like 30 yards it shoots high doesnt it?  Guess I have to live with it, unless I want a real high front sight.

The front sight on a MWNN is much higher than on a stock 51 Navy, which was/is notorious for shooting high.  The only way to tell where yours will shoot is to shoot it.  Different loads and different bullet weights shoot to a different level.  For example, a 158 grain bullet will generally print higher than a 125 grain bullet out of these revolvers.

PS.  If you are using the gun for CAS, no one shoots these things much at 30 yards.  SASS recommended target distances for pistols are from 7 to 10 yards.  They past few years the targets are more like 5 to 7 yards.
