Silver Creek Slim

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee, Litl Roo.

Cabela's would be a good gig, Litl Rooster.

Thanks, pards. The hospice nurse was called into the nursing home last week so we knew his time was short for this world. The funeral will probably be on Monday.

About 1" of white on the deck railing. 'Tis 22 and light flurries. High of 30.

Was gonna go out this morning and see if I could get Bambi, but I saw the sn*w coming down and didn't want that on any of my guns.  ::)

Slim, if you want to waterproof your guns get some paste wax from an auto parts store and put a couple layers on them, works great.Just make sure it doesn't have any polishing compound in it.I got this tip from a guy who worked at a museum.Use it on any unfinished wood on the stock as well.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........................

Just lifted the lid ta check on the collards. The heavenly aroma struck my surgically cleared nose 'n lifted me a few inches off the floor. Sorta floated in midair for a few seconds.

Amazingly wonderful.

My collards bit the dust in the cold the last few days, just frozen now and that jar of rotted ones that I just tasted, interesting, should have added a bit more red pepper but collard kim-chee is good.   ;D

I am sorry to hear that , Slim.  My condolences to your family.

Otherwise, Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.  Not contributing any labor to the effort this year, myself, except to maybe carry something to and from the car; probably won't eat much, either, been sort of off my feed for a bit, now.

We are cool, but dry, for the time being, had a good three day rain last week, the mess that has been favoring you all of late; more in the forecast for next week, so just keep your hats on, it'll get on to you in a bit.

Have a pleasant day.

Later.

Our prayers and sincerest condolences, Slim :(

Bird came out with a nice golden tan and moist white meat. Them cooking bags do nice job once you get the hang of'em. had smashed taters( real ones, not from a box), stuffing( box type, but still good), noodles done up with the giblets and turkey broth, brown & serve rolls. No room for dessert, yet.

Son and GF came over for a bit before they had to go to her mother's for their meal. GF's daughters are nice, had a nice conversation with both of them. ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. I made some toast to go with the Cawffee. It is in the middle 30s this morning. The meal from Cracker Barrel was good. We have some leftovers for today. We are staying in this weekend, no holiday shopping. I got my shopping done last month. I hope that everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.

Lazin' about this morning, after being up till 1 a.m.   Weather is foggy, so low I can't see the tops of the pines across the street.  They are over 150 feet tall though...... ::)    Temp is around 40.  S'possed to get a layerin' of mashed taters across the landscape some time this week.

Sorry about your relative, Slim.  Our prayers for ya'.
