Moose is making potato salad to go with the leftover pinto beans. I picked up an Enrich sausage to grill inside. We are gong to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving. It is easier to eat out when there is only two of us.

Okay, don't tell nobody, but my wallet generated another firearm today.

Explaination:  I was going to buy my dad a cheapo .40 semi-auto.  We went to the gun shop, and found that they didn't have what I wanted, so we looked at some other things.  An old Rossi .38 snubbie, a S&W M&P pre-war, with a three inch barrel, a Smith & Wesson K-frame in .357, as well as a Khar 9mm, a Browning hi-power 9mm (had six names on the wait list, otherwise, at $450... ;)   ) and a Sig P225.  I was pretty set on the .357, and was doing some "testing" a.k.a. having fun with an unloaded revolver,  when my mother mentioned to the salesman that I liked 1911s.  He got a smirk and pointed to a whiteboard on the wall.  it read  "All Rock Island Arms 1911s, 10%-40% off."

So, for a total of $530, I have a brand new RIA 1911, with a padded hard case, an 8 rd mag, and and two sets of grips.  There is a lock, but....CA regs.    I'm keeping it a secret from my dad, and will wrap it for Christmas day, but......  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :D :D

I think I resemble one a them fellers what Arcey hangs around with Roo.

The lady in operations couldn't seem to figure out why I had a big ole grin on my face this afternoon until I handed her my ID card and my electronic leash (Blackberry). She asked me who was going to fix her computer now, I said I expect they'll find someone. Seems strange around 46 and half years ago I had my first real summer job sweeping floors and emptying trash cans in a gear room on the Norfolk waterfront. Learned how to splice wire and rope and drive a forklift that summer.

Four-Eyed Buck

Been busy again today. Had to clear a bunch of snow, help with some more decorating outside. The tree's up, wife think we're going to have company at some point tomorrow, which would've interrupted her tree decorating. So, it went up last night and today. I'll be fixing the bird tomoorow morning for dinner about 1 ish.

Had a practice tonight, about 3 hours worth. Wife is super ticked off at me, not sure why she's so against me doing these dance gigs. :-\

Santa came early for me today, a Protec double horn case on wheels. Holds my B-flat trumpet and my flugle and rolls around like a piece of luggage. Also got some synthetic valve oil and slide grease. So far so good with the case, made it's maiden run tonight ::) :o 8)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Ya best believe it.

When me 'n Tom was werkin' outta offices next ta one 'nother, we could strike fear in rational people by utterin' nine werds:

Thanks for the coffee Roo, need it it's 30 out there right now and I'm getting ready to spread some stone under the pasture gates so we can put the horses in the front pasture.

Prayers up for you and the family Slim, hold tight to the memories of happier times.

Arcey I think I will enjoy not having to utter those fearful words anymore.

Yes she was feared that I might corrupt you two.

Thanks Tex, it appears they are opening a "Outpost store" in Missoula. they have a store in Billing's that's 6 hours or so away. I don't know what Outpost really mean's maybe smaller. I do fear that sometime those places kill existing places, then sometimes . (Bass Pro just caused Greentop to  expand) they help. I am sure since  left the area in '99 I will have a whole new picture to look at when I return. Montana has been back several times I have not.

Regardless I need employment for a couple more years. I really don't care to be affiliated with the Goobermint, at any level. However I will if need be, as a contractor to, I had enough of their abuse and piss poor attitudes. If the taxpayers only knew half of what went on with their employees. Most of make 2 times more than they are worth. I know there is people around Cascity who will defend them. That's because they have had a life long paycheck from them. The truth is most of them are not competent enough to to do their jobs. The other half haven't learned to be on time. 95% of them think they are important, especially if they have a shield in a fancy wallet. (not just LEO's other agencies have them too).

Sorry I got to ramblin....rant off
