Yep. Just got back here.

Went to Trashmore. Few minutes after 2000 hrs got out the station wagon ta burn one. Heard a few folks start ta hootin', looked north 'n there she went.

Then the parkin' lot looked like a drive-in movie when the flick was o'er. Engines fired up 'n head lights come on. Folks headin' ta the exits.

I remember when we were kids 'n they'd send 'em up. This'n was a lot bigger'n than those were.

Stayed up last night to watch Leno & President Bush... I must say #43 carried himself very well, got a great line in
about how "he felt a former President should not criticize his successor "

he poked some fun at himself , when asked if he feels relaxed out of the spotlight (presidency) his "DUH ! " was classic.
and joked , why he named his adopted stray cat "BOB" ? "so he could remember how to spell it when he got older"

Laura was regal, and the two spoke of their charity work in African health) & Afghanistan's women's rights
They also enjoyed talking about the their grandchild....

Had an organizational meeting for a new concert group another old music friend is starting up last night. First practice in Jan..

26 and semi-dark here. SIL starts her Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments this morning, possibility of 20 of them, 5 days a week. She's having problems getting a surgical site to heal up. Been messing with it since last Feb., a week or so ago they did find a staple in it, and it has started to close some now. So, she may not have to do all 20

Morn'n Y'all. Thanks for the coffee. temp is 42 right now, with a forecast of 43, and an inch of rain in the next 24 hours. We've already had an inch and a half......
had to charge the battery on our SUV yesterday, because some helpful sibling was taking groceries out of the car and didn't shut the door all the way....We also noticed a slightly hydrocarbon -ish smell coming from the car. We looked around for a propane tank from camping.....and instead found a half eaten cheeseburger with "extra greens" on it under that same siblings seat..

Back 'ta work for me today. Have to re-new my DL, Friday's deadline, was sent the renewal docs & I mis-placed them so now have to go into the DMV.

Had a bit 'o rain overnite, more in the forecast tanite & tamarraw. 47 right now with a low of 31.

Miz Letty, I am sorry that you will have to stand in line at the DL office.I always went in uniform and I got to go to the front of the line. I am able to renew online. I got the yards mowed for another week. The temp is in the low 50s.

Took me longer to get there...had the mailed renewal paperwork but my printer on the fritz so I had to go in...

DL good 'nother 4 yrs. Some leftover soup for the lunch pail.

Sprinklin' here, more on the way I reckon.

Nothing like bumping a razor sharp chisel of the work bench and watch it fall in slow motion toward the concrete floor and slowly turn over and land on the handle. Phew, make note, I need to put that chipboard down and find a chunk of ratty carpet, burnt orange or lime green shag would be just fine.

I was starting to think that was a true story right up until the chisel did land right on that razor sharp edge - destroying the edge completely and making a divot in the concrete that will immediately start to grow.

Now that's reality.

Was going to do steak rolls but plans changed...huge surplus of spit pea to the rescue. Gonna start makin all soups in four gallon batches, nothin like a free pass on a cold wet night.
