Howdy y'all,

Cawfee & tea cozie are hot...

Gettin' lots of rest on the days off, mostly walk 10 mi. and climb 3 flights of stairs 20-30 times a night on my shift. No need for a dang gym exercise get all I need just on my punch in.

Had our company Thanksgivin' feast on Friday nice gesture & they paid us durin' lunch. Still gotta work the holiday time 1/2.
My sis is also scheduled for Thanksgivin' day so we plan to have our grand supper on Friday instead. I work a 2300-0600 Thurs & a 1800-0600 Friday. Such is retail, but just glad not to have to fight the mobs of eejits....In the next month will make some good $$

Some weather comin' tamarraw, start out with rain showers & will elevate to the dreaded s**w, just hope it stays "elevated" for a while & I wont' hafta deal drivin' in it quite yet....

Mornin'.

Made it ta the mid seventies yestitty. 'Bout twenty degrees lower taday. Cut the stuff up for Beef Vegetable soup already. Broth from the last roast 'bout thawed out. Gonna be startin' it shortly. Wanna have it o'er 'n done with by 1900 hrs so I can get out by the lake for the rocket launch from Wallops @ 1930. This'n supposed ta be visible from a long ways off.

'Nother loader showed up in the mail yestitty a day earlier than the vendor said. Was a couple bucks cheaper than from Cheaper'n Dirt. Thankee, Miz Letty.

Grabbed the 'broke' loader 'n went at it with the air compressor. It'll catch now but it still don't feel right, doesn't snap 'n lock like it did. See what happens with it it the next OFSDAR party.

Off today and tomorrow, headed down to the workshop for a bit to straighten and work on knives, be up later for coffee.  Should be safe, the morning morons will be gone in a bit, need to figure how to send Pandora down there.  If I wanted to listen to talk radio I would, don't take two idiots to spin a record and I don't care about their corny jokes or stupid opinions.

Got a report back from the farm, little brother did good, 150 yards running, I expect no less out of him, now if we could get our pseudo brother Charles or the nephew to shoot as good as either of us, things would be good.

Looks like it went pretty darn close to the proper place, can't tell, looks a couple inches to far forward, like through the top of the shoulder a bit.  Guess it worked. ;)

Just talked to him, he more than killed it, 3 through the boiler room and one through the neck, last shot he grazed it as it was going down, that boy can work the 77 ruger if he has to.  LOL it was running with it's lungs and heart shot out.

Thanks for the coffee, Roo.

150 yards running?  he's pretty good with that thar rifle of his'n.   Around here, the longest shot ever recorded was 325, and that was from 7200 feet......most shots are 50 or less...... meat on the table anywho.  Long day of school ahead.

Can range from muzzle burn in the thick woods to to dang far for anything across the cut fields.

Funny, the neighbor saw it from his house and called to tell him, so they set it up so the other two might have a chance it it and if it ran it would run by him, it worked.

Longest one I know of I did and I won't mention it because it was running and was way to far for one standing.  Was running on 3 legs because of him making a bad shot, not his fault though because I saw the whole thing, it broke as he shot.  Open cut fields, safe to shoot, nothing to lose so we both opened up and tried, I got it, finally, walked them on, lets just say the mag was dry and I was loading single shot out of the butt carrier and had two rounds to spare. ::)  Distance,, well further than anyone has any business shooting at an unwounded one with any rifle suitable for hunting let alone a 243, but I got away with it.

Don't know where the locals are gettin' it, Roo, but they're sayin' the kid cut Deeds up then blew his own brains out.

Was doin' monthly paperwork. Opened the charge card bill 'n see the balance is in parentheses. When I was messin' with the bankin' stuff that meant a negative. Bein' the honest 'n curious sort that I am, I called the office in Charlotte. Somehow they'd erroneously credited my account with a thousand bucks. Like a dumb ass, I told 'em the truth. They found the error 'n straightened it out. Now, instead of a balance showin' them inta me a few hunnert bucks, it shows me inta them for a few hunnert bucks. Rats. Shoulda kept my mouth shut.

The leftover pizza did not do well when it was reheated, Victoria did enjoy the crusts. No clue for supper tonight.

Got a late start today, then went out and cleaned the leaves up again. Thank goodness them big oaks are pretty much out of leaves now, and the one tree that don't like is just about done as well. Got a call from the leader of the dance band to go over and practice some, just got back.
Have a pot of donated chili on the stove warmin' up. ::)

Me either.

Just kinda wonder what the reaction was when someone else opened their statement 'n the thousand buck payment they made didn't show as credited to their account.
