Hi pards,

Does anyone know who makes low-recoil shotshell? Winchester AA Feather/Winlite is not available here in Australia and low-recoil stuff isn't widely available.

Thanks.

What do the skeet or sporting clays shooters use?  Look for a light shotload to start with, and try several of the available clay target offerings. Look for 28 gram loads in the low 1200's for velocity.  I see "GB" and Federal "Top Gun"offerings at this site; - for pickup only so I guess you blokes can't order ammo online;

Of course you could take up reloading.  I used to shoot trap quite a bit and 1 1/16 oz. of #8 with a low-end charge of Red Dot & I could easily shoot 500 rounds on a weekend without discomfort. There are other recipes as well.

P.S;  I'm not sure of your experience level, but here is an UK article that introduces shotgun ammo characteristics quite well.  I do realize that Australia & NZ have the problem of being at the end of a very long supply chain;

Ive been shooting this load for CAS for about 8 years.

Not sure if its available in Australia.

Also works very well for sporting clays.
