I really enjoyed the time that I spent there at the Musters. It was worth the drive up there from Texas and living in the barracks. I will never forget those times.

I wonder if the State "powers that be" would consider selling the Fort.  Would make a great HQ for GAF. Not so "far-fetched" an idea either with God's help.  Think on that.

Recreation areas, parks to close temporarily...

The state will temporarily close 24 state recreation areas and five historical parks.

No services will be available and vehicles will not be allowed to drive into those areas, but people can walk in, the commission said.

They will be closed from Sept. 16 through May 1.

They're not closed for good - it's temporary - and no one's selling anything.
