I am the proud new owner of a pair of uberti transitional army conversions in .45 colt, with 5-1/2" barrels, in their original boxes!  ;D Not exactly what I was looking for, but I'm excited! I've always wanted to try an open topped cartridge gun, as I love the 1860 army. I was looking for a
7-1/2" barreled SAA in .44 WCF, but these were too good a deal to pass up. I'm going to sell one, as I can't really afford to keep both of them right now. Don't have them in hand yet, just won them on gunbroker. Will post pics asap.

I'm going to be asking y'all what I need to do to these to improve them, etc... and I'm going to invest in some of the reloading equipment I've been needing. The revolver that I keep is going to get a work out as a shooter, snake gun, truck gun, carry gun, etc.

Just based on what I've seen at matches over a time period, the Open Tops last a lot longer when fired with black powder.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.
