I have an O.A.Smith pistol, serial number 2373; mainly brass.  The trigger mechanism won't work and I can't pull the hammer back.  I would like to get it fixed--may need new trigger mechanism.  Any suggestions.  Many thanks, Charles McNutt

Parts are few and far between - often residing in another man's gun.

Usually, they're proud of them.

Your best bet will be to check every small parts box at the gun shows.

A disassembly may reveal that the mainspring's out of battery - 'you' can check this, so long as you use a good gunsmith's screwdriver and patience.

Good Luck!

These were very cheap guns and parts will be next to impossible to find.  Probably not worth fixing.
