JD had a little setback, heart problems, he's on the mend, shot with him last month. Keeping a low profile right now. I will pass along your concerns.

Paladin,

JD may not know it, but I tried to use his old email address and was 'Daemoned' .... he might be wondering why he is not getting any emails ... also let him know that I am still here: my email address is still the same ... and it is even listed on my profile .... and tell him I think of him every time I use that stitching horse ....

My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

JD Alan

Well hello my friends, imagine my surprise at logging on CAS City for the first time in a long time and seeing a thread with my name on it. It's great to know some people care. My good friend Paladin mentioned CAS City Saturday and I told him I was planning on getting back on soon.

My computer died and I don't have the money to buy another one yet so online access has been spotty for me over the last year. Someone just loaned me a laptop last week which is really nice.  So I went through a divorce last year that cost me a job and a place to live, then 6 months later I had a whopper of a heart attack, followed by a quad bypass surgery. During all this time just as I find a place to set up my leather tools I end up having to move.

I think I've finally got a stable situation going now that includes a part time job  working at a church in Salem, about an hour south of where I spent the last 35 years of my life. Friday I cut leather for a holster for the first time in 15 months. I have 3 sets of Cowboy Action holsters to build with more people asking about holsters now that our club is experiencing a growth spurt. I've been back shooting at least a stage or two the last few months as my energy level and stamina slowly increase. When I couldn't shoot but could drive I at least went out a watched and kept score.

That's the short story, and I sure do appreciate the fact that a few people missed me here, and I sincerely thank you for your concern and well wishes.
