Oregon Bill

Just picked up my Uberti NWMP 1876 carbine in .45-75, and not only does she look great, she feels great in the hands and cycles like butter. Can't imagine how she'll feel with a few hundred rounds through her.  Now to cobble up some cases. I have an order in with Rocky Mountain Cartridge but they won't be hear until late June.

:o

The pain!

Will post photos in the next day or so. My Spencer had to go away to finance the purchase. G'bye old friend.

Pitch, she comes up real nice. I was pleasantly surprised at how handy the carbine is, with the balance point one finger behind the receiver ring and yet enough mass forward to give a steady swing. Haven't weighed it but would guess 8 1/2 pounds or less. She'll feel good in the woods -- and even better when there's a cloud of BP smoke hanging in the air and a deer, bear or hog kicking its last in the fall leaves.

;D

Happy for ya pard  :D
Now i don`t know if i want one of those or a 86 carbine.  ::)

Dusty, still haven't shot her, but have some rounds loaded -- and just won the EBay auction for that original Winchester mould, thanks to your heads up. Owe you another beer, pard!

Congrats, outstanding looking rifle. If it shoots as good as it looks you will have lots of fun.

Damn and damn, I wish you hadn't posted that. Now I've got a serious craving for another gun and I'd managed to go for a whole six months without that happening. The only thing I don't like about my full rifle is that it's a bit awkward and heavy to drag around the bush. That carbine looks like the perfect solution, and man is it nice to look at.

Congratulations. Bet is shoots fine.
