My very best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

OH NO, an old hippie attack.  Be good and I am sure you will do good pard!

I've heard that hip surgery is one of the easiest (or not) surgery's to re-coop from.  Here's wishing you a speedy and complete recovery 'cause ya can't leave GCR in charge too long if ya know what I mean.

Best wishes to you Will for a speedy recovery . . . we're all thinking of you and have you in our prayers.  Follow the therapy they give you . . . . that will help you get back to snuff faster than anything else.  Our best thoughts and wishes to your family as well.   :)

Marshal Will Wingam

Howdy, pards. Thanks for the kind words. Everything went great. The surgeon really knew his stuff and I've been treated like a king. I already have less discomfort than before the surgery. The doc said the joint was definitely chewed up. Now I'm a cyborg. ;D Not full blown like Robocop, though.

I'm still in the clinic but should go home tomorrow. I'm on the Blue Screen Special. That's the laptop I dropped and it now likes to heat up and blue screen on me.  ::) It's OK as long as I have it on a cooling stand with the fan going. I'll still be scarce until I get home and can get to my other comp.

What'd you have, full hip? That's what I had and, yes, it was 10 years of pain and limping.

Yes sir Mr.Will still recouping but well into it,had mine done May 11th.Same thing no cut muscle and pain gone right after surgery, they did a spinal on me,no ill effects after surgery, easier than goin to the dentist,in one day out the next by 4pm,kept up on my excerises, wore my little blue leggies(actually darn good boot socks) Just a little sore from the procedure now,had to keep weight off right leg and on the walker for 3 weeks. No walker now and wore my boots twice now ;D

Same here with the spinal. The doctor had me put full weight on it the first day (yesterday). I tried a walker but found that the cane is much easier for me to use. Stairs are no problem with a cane, anyway.

Yeah, I'll get to set alarms at government buildings, too. I wonder if they give you a registered cyborg card.

Godspeed on the recovery Will....
My Dad had a knee replacement when he was 70...A few weeks later the Doc asked how he was doing..."Fine", the old Preacher said, but now I need to get the other one done...
