Good afternoon, everyone, I've been a member for over a year and have yet to attend a match.  I live in Colorado and unfortunately there are no nearby clubs.

My lovely wife today suggested I attend the Nationals, saying "it would be good for me."  Who can argue with that kind of logic from a beautiful woman

I'm interested in pitching my tent at the range if possible... Can anyone provide any additional information?

I shoot SASS but am searching for greater authenticity.  I'm interested in the Originals class.  Will other Originals be available to judge my outfit and persona write up?  I'm still working on it, but it is quite large right now (I got a little carried away).

I appreciate any advice concerning attendance at the Nationals and especially regarding aboriginals class.

Thanks, Matt Harris

Howdy KK and welcome.

I'm sure oneof the Oriiginals Class shooters will respond before long and will be able to answer your questions.

Since you're a member, you might also post it over on the members forum (aka NCOWS Chambers) as well.

Best wishes and hope to see you at the Nationals.

KK. There is a large area for period correct camping. Then areas for just camping.  There are two showers near the camping area. There is no charge for camping or the showers. the folks in the period correct camping are usually there by Sunday as they shoot through on Monday and Tuesday so they can help with the events during the week. Several of them are among the first Oringinals. Be good to meet you. Tj

Kid,

Definitely make the trip. This will be my fourth and I look forward to it every year.

The whole affair is first class and the people are even better.

I dont shoot in Originals, but there are usually a half dozen or more there competing in that class.  I strongly believe Originals is one of the corner stones of our group.

Look forward to swaping tall tails with you.

There will be enough originals shooters to ok your "kit", I suggest you come to the primitive camp. The main thing is to have all you wear to shoot and weapons documented to your time period. Story is just gravy.    jt
