I've never been able to talk anyone who had a nice original Open Top or Richards conversion into letting me take one completely apart.  Never been able to afford a nice Richards for myself either.  I've repaired some to return them to shooting condition but the owner would only allow just enough disassembly to make the fix.
It is a treat to see a really nice gun carefully pulled apart and photographed.
I sure wish it was mine  ;D
