Hello, Folks!

Ten days ago, I acquired a pair (consecutive #s) of Cimarron R-M conversions in .44 Colt, 8" barrels, and Army size grips. I won't get to shoot them for another two weeks, but they have already become "keepers".  Please allow me in as a STORM member.

big hext, well to start with i am a western buff extrodinair. i am a machinist and a welder by trade. So if i can make it i wont buy it. That is how i got involved in c-b pistols. I love history, and i did a lot of research on early cartridge conver. pistols. But if i knew about this website i would have saved alot of trips to the library..My favorite western movie is the good, bad, and the ugly and i rooted for tuco.............................bama

Howdy!
Please enroll me in the ranks of STORM.
I have a brace of (imitation) ivoryhandled 1872 Open Tops in .45 S&W to go with my matching caliber Spencer carbine.
I also generally shoot a couple of 1860's in Frontiersman.  I use an Iron Frame .44-40 Henry as a stand-in for the Spencer sometimes.
Have been using a Baikal hammergun untill now, but it's waay to modern so I plan to switch to a Husqvarna
with a Lefaucheux-mechanism (underlever), just to complicate things!

Please sign me up as a member.  I have always loved open tops especially the '51 Colt.  That was the first c & b I ever got a long time ago.  I now have more and hope to have one of every kind some time in the future.  I haven't got any conversion cylinders for them yet but it is on my list.

Uncle Stinky

I'm fortune enough to have just received my Cimarron 8" 1860 Army RM Conversion in .38LC/.38 Sp. It is a beautiful revolver & shoots as good as it looks. The action is smooth with a crisp 3lb. trigger....not a hint of creep. It is exceptionally accurate & a joy to shoot. El Paso Saddlery supplied me with a "1849 Californian" holster with full floral carving that is of equal quality and beauty. Am I a happy puncher? Oh yes! Please add my name to the STORM roster. We'll all enjoy these conversion and open top revolvers immensely.

Well, I just ordered two 1871 open tops in .44 Colt, I guess it's time to join the group.  Has anyone mentioned that this area is contageous :)

Brickhammer Hamilton

Been a Uberti Colt '51 shooter for awhile now.  Been considering a '51 conversion for the past year.  Been a lurker on your board for a couple weeks.  Y'all seem like good folks, the kind that'd help and support a fellow shooter.  Sign me the heck up!

Cheers,

I got word today that the guns are in and paid for.  Now I just have to jump through the stupid Michigan legal hoops and pick them up.  I start that tomorrow or the next day depending on schedules.  How do I hate BIG government, let me count the ways... .

Dr. Wright Gooder

My brother bought a '51 R-M conversion in .38 special and made the mistake of leaving it with me to shoot. I did. It's mine and he can't have it back ;D.

I was shooting a Cimarron Lightning in .38 and love the gun, but I wanted a "less belly" gun. He spotted this one an bought it for me. He also dropped off an IAC 87 which my oldest (Waddie Bearp, SASS #70630)  immediately claimed. Waddie also shoots the R-M and the Lightning. Since the whole family (four of us) shoot, we have to share a lot.

We'd both sure like to be STORM members.
