Hey ya'll , I have recently purchased a Lee hand press and the dies and such to do .38 spl.  I would like to load with b.p., any one out there who can school me on the amount of powder, etc.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated! :D

Load it up to the base of the bullet with a little powder compression, shoot and enjoy. ;)

BP is very forgiving in volume measure with the small cases. Smokless, not so much.

What Lefty said.  You could also use your flask with a 20 grain spout.

Howdy Brazodave, what Lefty and Fingers said. Also make sure to use a bullet and lube designed for BP, the 158gr Snakebite works great. Check out "The Dark Arts" section, DJ has a good photo illustration on loading BP cartridges. Good Luck :)
