Question for you b.p. cartridge reloading gurus

Hey ya'll , I have recently purchased a Lee hand press and the dies and such to do .38 spl.  I would like to load with b.p., any one out there who can school me on the amount of powder, etc.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Load it up to the base of the bullet with a little powder compression, shoot and enjoy.

BP is very forgiving in volume measure with the small cases. Smokless, not so much.

What Lefty said.  You could also use your flask with a 20 grain spout.

Howdy Brazodave, what Lefty and Fingers said. Also make sure to use a bullet and lube designed for BP, the 158gr Snakebite works great. Check out "The Dark Arts" section, DJ has a good photo illustration on loading BP cartridges. Good Luck
