That's what I'm calling myself for believing the weather man and hiding in my bunk with the covers pulled up and snuggled next to my bride, instead of getting my butt out of bed and going shooting at the season opener at the Rock River Regulators.

Dang, I hate it when that happens.

Never, EVER, trust the weatherman. I use the weather as a general guide but that's about it.

Cliff,  You forgot politicians!  But that's OK, as I have been trying for many years to forget about them but they keep popping up like Sgringtime gophers and flys.

Hey, have a fun day anyways.

Hey DD,
I shoulda done what you did. I believed the weatherman who said it was not gonna rain til around 1 PM so I got up (along with 35 others) and got our butts soaked this AM. We got a speck of sun then rain, then BIG RAIN, then HAIL, then thunder & lightening! Everything sopping wet. Good thing I brought me SS '58 Remingtons & '92. Had to load under cover for about 4 stages.

I guess that since I was riding alone I was less enamored with getting wet and cold.  Come the 20th of this month I'm makin' smoke and flames come hell or high water.

Like I always said, 'you can only get wet, that's the worst thing that is going to happen. Our raange was cut out of  a hillside, and the grass is taking a longggggggg while to get going. When it gets wet, you don't want to stand still for long, lest you start sinking!

I did the same thing and missed the match. Those who were there said it was good fun with only a sprinkle lasting 30 seconds. I shot the next day at Kishwukee Valley Regulators. It was fun but RRR would have been even more fun.

I'll be on the firing line on the 20th.  Wet or not, I've got to empty some brass.  I've got nothing left to reload and my shelves are sagging.

Rain here again this morning.  Looks like the Robbins are going to find plenty of worms.
