Is that a good deal... looks a little rough to me for that price.  Of course I paid too much for mine too but it is a 100% shooter.  Not worried about dinging her up either.. that's the too much part.

BTW, can anyone give me any SRS data on it  56/56 # 50850.. and thanks.

Looks like - Company C or D of the 7th Indiana Volunteer Cavalry, March 1865 . . . you have a carbine, right?

I would say that is on the high end for that rifle,but with these rifles that only aplys today,the are not making any more and prices are rising especialy for good  civil war rifles that would have seen a lot of action

I have a carbine.  Thanks for the info.  Is that an exact match or general number range?  I've never seen the info on it.

If it was an exact match, I'd be blowing horns and sending up baloons ;D ;D but very strong within that range of numbers of Spencers going to that unit.
