You may want to do a search on this topic.
Seems to me I recall , a few of the first batch had short ejectors,
Uberti replace them at no cost.

I did not have the issue, so my memory is lacking on that subject. Someone else may chim in  :)

The notch in the ejector housing is a PITA, so I filed it off.  I'm not sure why Uberti put it there, an answer to a problem no-one had.  Having to lift the rod to turn it is ridiculous.    Short I haven't seen, and I have 8 assemblied on spare 71 barrels and converted 51's, none of which is less than 6 years old..

The question should be, why did Colt put it there?

As for the rod being too short to eject the shells fully, most folks find that the empties, if they don't fall from the cylinder from gravity, will eject if given a jab from the rod.  If they stick that last little bit, it may mean one of: ammo too hot, ammo too dirty, chambers need polishing or even just cleaning.

Abilene,,you are ,,correct, i posted this topic ,,then i resized these nickel cases,,,yup, out they ,,fell ( gravity),,.

Thanks all.  Hootmix.

A resized case should always fall out of any chamber.  The proof will be if they are still sticky after being fired in that gun.
