I have looked everywhere, on this forum as well as the leather crafters, for a pattern for a single mag pouch with a snap flap. Can anyone out help or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

If you are looking to make one similar to the picture below it is actualy easy to make your own pattern. Lay your magazine on paper or poster board and trace around the magazine. now draw a second line around the traced line about 3/4" out from the traced lineat the top of the tracing extend the outer line about 2 1/2" to 3" (this will be your flap). Cut the pattern out, this will be for the bac of the pouch . For the front of the poch lay the magazine on a piece of wood take a piece of wet leather and lay it over the magazine with plenty of excess all around. Cut down to the height you want leaving the amount of magazine you want exposed. Now wet mold the leather around the magazine hold it down to the wood with push pins. Use a boning tool to work the leather down snug around the magazine till you have the shape you want. Let dry trim and attach male snap part. Take the back piece and put on a belt loop this can be done by riveting or sewing on a strip to form the belt loop or you can cut a piec the same width as the back cut to paralel slotsand atach to the back of the back the two slots will form a belt tunel. Now place the front of the pouch on the front of the back glue together trim to desired width fold flap over to front of pouch with magazine in place trim to the apropriate length stitch the pouch put the female half of the snap on the flap and you are done. Dye where ever in the sequence you want to dye.

Forgot to mention if your mag is not stainles you might want to protect it with a wrap of plastic wrap when molding the wet leather around it.
