In addition to being used for Leather, Skidmores also works good on old wood. Attached is a picture of my folk's Silvertone radio. I'm sure it is at least 75 years old. I used Skidmores to rejuvenate the top. It was easy to apply and works great. When I get a spare moment, I'll do the entire radio again. Back in the late 40's, I used to listen to the Lone Ranger, The Shadow, Amos & Andy etc. on it.

I use Skidmores for keeping my Boots, refinished Grips, Holster Rigs, Motorcycle Gear etc. looking good. The Boots are in their 7th season and the Holster Rig is in it's 4th season.

My thanks again go to Ten Wolves for putting me on to Skidmores many years ago. This is an unsolicited post as I have no connection with Skidmores. I'm just a satisfied user.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

I've used Skidmores off and on since Johnny got me a sample a couple years ago and I really like it.

Cowboy WC turned me on to Skidmores several years ago, and I have been using it ever since, it's just a great product, it really works its wonders on leather, I haven't tried it on wood as Johnny has, but I'm sure it would do an equally good job there to.

Actually, it works quite well to soften dry calloused hands when I apply it to leather.

I might not plan to use it for that intention, but as bi-product of leather working it is OK  ;)

Not that I was a sheep herder (God forbid) but I have not had softer hands than when I used to help a friend who kept about 100 of the nasty critters.  (give me 1 wool bearing goat any day over 10 sheep!).   That natural lanolin was wonderful.  Skidmores is on my list to buy soon

I used to make teat dip for dairy cattle, glycerin, lanolin, iodine,i had to quit and start hualin hay, evertime i grabbed a mug beer it ended up in my lap! The girls loved my hair though :) :) ;) :-* Tell your wives to use horse mane conditioner on thier hair.

I wonder if that teat dip would be good on holsters,if the iodine would give it a cool color~

Hi,

The neat thing is that if you order on the phone you will talk to a Skidmore ... it is the only totally family owned and run business that I have ever come across ... in this uncaring and inselective world, That is a real plus in my books!

I bought a pint jar of it and really do like it. If you haven't tried it, you ought to. This is my profesional opinion. Yall have a good day. Texas Toby
