old west wallet

I've just made my first Old West wallet. Are there anything I have to change
or can I go with this pattern?

I came up with 7" X 12 1/2"  ( is that about right ? ) sorta plagiarized the shown scalloped edges...
I also scooped the bill pouch some.

Here is a similar pattern I made a few years back.


Finished product-Prototype, it was some cheap (less than $5) leather that was not up to the job.  I still use it because I am lazy and too busy to make the one I mean to.

I like it, and I may make one too, but I am not so sure about the "customer experience", now that the government has issued plastic bills.  Yucks!

Very nice wallets - nice patterns as well.

I can only see one shortcoming on them all . . . you also need to put a "hasp" on the bill (currency) pocket with a padlock . . . at least something to make it harder for the #%&^#$ "Guvment" to get their hands in it . . . . . course I guess that really wouldn't help much . . . pretty soon they're just going to take the whole wallet.
