Pretty simple topic.   You want to have a rifle and pistol in the same caliber.   But, what would be the most "logical" combinations?

Some are obvious...

Tommygun/M1911
PPSh/Tokarev
Broomhandle Red 9 with shoulder stock/Luger

But after that...

Suomi M31/which 9mm pistol?
Sterling/Browning Hi Power?

What other possible combinations are there, keeping in mind the desire to use same caliber in both.

Tommy and a 1917 S&W or Colt revolver
A levergun in .38 or .44 Special and a good revolver to go with it.
A Destroyer carbine and an Astra in 9mm Largo
I like the Suomi and Broomhandle combo idea

The handgun matches for the Suomi would be a 9mm Luger P08 or a 9mm Lahti pistol.  Other options for the Suomi could be a Vis-35 Radom, Steyr Hahn 1912  rechambered to 9mm para, or early mode P-35 highpower. Of course the Finns also used the 30 Luger pistol in large quantities.   Another combo is one of the semi auto PPSH carbines and the venerable Tokarev pistol.  However the Thompson M1911 or M1917 revolver is hard to beat for looks and nostalgic appeal.
