We are coming to convention should be there Thursday night.  We probably will not go to the banquet since my wife can't eat BBQ.   .

Tascosa Joe; Contact French Jack or Gabe and the caterer can possibly have another meal available for her. They may also be better able to explain the entire menu on the buffet.
Also if anyone has a special diet and needs something different for their meal please contact French Jack or Gabe also, so arrangements can be made with the caterer.

Yep, The Cattleman's was the name of the steak place that I could not think of the name. I went over Friday night with a couple of the guys from Indiana who are members of Hiram's Rangers. I don't know why I could not remember Cattleman's, that is the name of a famous steakhouse in the Fort Worth stockyards.

The offending steak house is out of business. The Cattlemans Steakhouse is doing well.

I'm not supprised  ::)  they were both ill equiped in the service area ( help was overwelmed ) and the steak was (at least mine) was poor.
Several stated the same for their's .  :(

Granted, there were about 16-18 NCOWS folks in when we went Thursday night , but the largest group was not larger than 5 or six   :-\

Major, The food should be better at The Cattleman's. That other place had a Kentucky Derby theme. Maybe we got served Horsemeat?

I wonder if it's a chain tied in with the one in Ft W.  :-\
We have one here, out by the Mouse not sure if it the same Franchise though.

We also have Ruth Chris , Longhorn, Charlie's .... RC 's & Charlie's are very good

another though not a chain franchise is the Kissimmee Steak Co.  if in the area east of the Universal/Mouse I highly recommend it.

I hope everyone whom plans to attend the convention were able to get their motel reservations in before the deadline. We'd still like to have everyone that is attending have their registration in within the next week or week and a half so the caterer can have a head count for the banquet and have any special needs meals available.
The convention is shaping up nicely with a few new vendors coming aboard and a few old familiar faces setting up. So everyone come on out and have a great time.
The Johnson County Rangers are looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!
Everyone travel safe and we'll see you then.

Are there plans for a Color Guard?

Volunteers wanted to know in order to plan bringing a uniform.

Capt. Montgomery Little

Coming in late Thursday afternoon. Who's fixing supper? Better yet, where is that steakhouse north of the convention center? As I recall there is one just north of the Super 8 motel across the main street from the Paraquet Center.  See Y'all there!

Texas Lawdog

Capt., I think the name of it is Cattleman's Steakhouse.

Four so far have stepped forward which should be enough, but I encourage ANY member in attendance who would like to add depth to the formation to please join us. We would love to have you.
