I have had a hard time getting deals done by email with Cobra.  Is it more a phone type company.  It is easy to be at fault for thinking everyone is comfortable with email.  I don't mind phoning, but I guess I would prefer to know how best to deal with them, and I know a lot of people here have their machines.

I can't answer but would just remind folks that the first 6 weeks or so of the year are just chock full of distributor/dealer shows, with ShotShow right in the middle.  So a lot of companies have folks on the road and are a little shorthanded at home during that period.

Dealer shows.  That brings back memories.  I am not in a rush, but I have ended up dropped on a few occasions, so I will wait a bit and try a phone call.  I know everyone speaks highly of the outfit, so I am in no doubt that with the right approach I will succeed.

Call Steves cell if you have a question, even at a show he will probably answer if not right in the middle of something. May not be able to write up a final sale till he gets back.

It's more like the latter.  Thanks Cliff.

What is the problem that you are having with the motor, if one may ask.  I heard there were problems with the servo motor, at one time, but I was thinking of adding the NP motor to the order since that will be by far the cheapest time to get one to Canada.  I currently have a clutch motor, and it runs fine but one does have to grab for the wheel and so forth.

I thought the Cobras came set up and ready to sew, though I also believe the NP motor is an add on at any time one gets one.

By the way, there is a Youtube video on the Cobra motor situation, doubtless you know.  It seems to be a general servo motor characteristic.  Actually the main info is the text under the video.

It did come set up and ready to sew but the thing was so dang fast I had a hard time controlling it with my big clumbsy boots on so I set the RPM limit on the motor down so it cant get away from me.

Problem is I have changed it a few times and don't know exactly what I'm doing so it takes me forever to get it set again.

Apparently you can control a bunch of different things on it and I don't know the correct programming sequence.

Now that I'm more experienced I could probably do fine with it the way it came but it was my first leather sewing machine.
