I have an 1860 Army Colt I puchaced from Cabelas about 15 years ago. I is broken somewhere inside, won't hold full cock. (Probably dry fired once to often, I was warned about that.) can anyone recomend a gunsmith who could fix it. I am no gunsmith. I still have a bag of 1851 Navy parts from an attempt to fix that one. ;D

There are a number of qualifed bb members on this board...

some are smiths, others should be , they are just that knowledgeable....

I'd say it just depends on your part of the country and take it to them....

in no particular order;

Rifle ( Virginia, I believe )

Hoof Harted  ( Texas )

Kirst/Strite ( Texas )

Coffinmaker  ( Mid west )

Pettifogger   ( not real sure )

Take that 51 basket case too...
when planets align...do the deal !

I believe Pettifogger shoots out of Arizona Cowboy Shooters Association (TG). WM
WARTHOG, Dirty Rat #600, BOLD #1056, CGCS,GCSAA, NMLRA, NRA, AF&AM, CBBRC.  If all that cowboy has ever seen is a stockdam, he ain't gonna believe ya when ya tell him about whales.
