I was checking out the web site and noticed on the top menu bar that the entire Products section is gone.  Not even Single Actions are previewable anymore.  I am afraid the Zip for Fun is it.  The USFA SAA Horse was put out to pasture.

Capt. John Fitzgerald

The single action page is there.  The page doesn't change when you use the drop down menu because you are already on it.  The SA page is the home page.  As for the rest of USFA's offerings, they were removed from the web site some time ago.

Well, Doc is right.
When he first posted the notice about the product listings being removed from the www.usfasingleactions.com web site, I went there to check it out.  The information that I posted above was correct at that time.  Now, a few days later, I went back to the site only to find that the product list has, in fact, been removed from the home page (maybe I used an old link the first time - who knows?).  No SAA product info at all on the site's home page now.  If you dig a little deeper into the site (for example, go to the "Reviews" page) you will then find the "Products" drop down menu that will take you to the SAA and Custom Shop pages.  Wonder how much longer that will last?  Seems like the only point to the old web site's home page is to direct you to the new ZiP site.
And, once again, what the hell does ZiP stand for?

If I had to guess, Zero-Inventor-Persists?

My initial guess was "Zero interest Predicted" but I think Pettifogger has hit a little closer to the heart of the matter.

Update to my December 20th post:  The"Products" page, as well as the "Custom Shop" section of the old USFA web site, have now been completely removed from the site.  I can only assume from this that USFA has no intention of producing SAA's anytime in the foreseeable future.

Well it didn't look good to me when I went by the factory a couple weeks ago.

What are we USFA owners going to do when they do close the doors and we need parts?

Billy Bristol

I guess everyone will have to have the parts made by a good machinist or smith. Could end up expensive for some parts though.
Just glad I can make all my own parts for all my guns.

For goodness sake, the USFA SAAs are just Colt clones.  Parts from a Colt, Uberti or Pietta will fit with minimal or no fitting.  Don't forget the early USFA's were made from Uberti parts.

Capt. John Fitzgerald

Pettifogger is right.  To be more exact, USFA's are more Uberti clones than anything else.  As stated, the first USFA guns were made up of Uberti parts.  When USFA went "all U.S." they duplicated the Uberti parts so that the new parts would be compatible with the older guns.

And lists them as "1st Generation", which really screws up Colt guys when they order parts that do not fit but are marketed as such.......... ::)

Well ..... The reason there is no products page is because ....... wait for it ....... There.  Are. NO.  Products.  As has been mentioned, USFA is a reproduction.  A high end reproduction of a Uberti reproduction of a Colt.  There are at least parts, albet some fitting required, so they can be kept running.  There just aren't going to be any more new ones.  Ever.  Lets move on.
