Well here it is the middle of Jan. and I am laid up with a broken leg. Not only that, but must have a follow up surgery towad the last of the month to remove the rest of my belly tumors. Sure hope I am up and about by the 30th of March for our Green River NCOWS shoot. Also would be nice to make the convention. Tj

AT Saturday's shoot I caution Bowie Maker after stage 4. He had levered a round in his rifle then moved to get a better view of the bonus target. I told him he could be dq'd for that. Later he asked me where that rule was in the Tally Book. After looking over the Tally Book I could not find it. It is a SASS rule.
Mike Carter,  I did not know the rules as well as I thought. As I read the Tally Book you were well with in your rights to move. Tj

No problem Texas Jack. I was just surprised as I had never heard that rule and I thought I was pretty familiar with NCOWS rules.

I have never shot an NCOWS stage that required moving with a charged firearm other than maybe taking a step or two to sight a target that was behind a tree. From a safety standpoint, it seems to me that moving your feet however you feel is necessary is better than leaning or being off balance. Being a lefty, I sometimes have to adjust my sight line as compared to right handers.

Here is my video of the Green River Rangers Company B shoot on June 29, 2013. It is pretty long but it shows all 16 shooters go through some of the stages.

I still can't get the YouTube thing to work to show the video on this page.
