Good Evening, All;

It is my pleasure to report that the US Marine Corps Uniform Regulations of 1859 have been transcribed, proofread, and forwarded to Captain Barrett for posting on the GAF website.  With this transmission, all of the available Marine Corps Uniform Specifications from the Victorian and Edwardian eras (with the exception of the Enlisted portion of the 1875 specification, which is currently not available to me) have been transcribed.

From recent conversations with Captain Barrett, it is now my intention to begin filling in the holes in the GAF's US Army Uniform Specifications; to be followed by the remainder of the US Navy Specifications, and the Revenue Service Specs, if I can get them (are you listening, LtCdr Poney Racer? ;) )

Within the next day or so, I shall post links to formatted copies of the USMC Regulations on my personal website in pdf format -- these will be left up for download by anyone who wants them.

I have the honor to remain,

Your Obedient Servant,

Bvt. Capt. Malachi Thorne
Commander, US Marine Detachment
Department of the Pacific

I have the honor to remain,

While I don't portray a Marine, many thanks are heading your way for your hard work!

And the next time you're in Scotland, have a Tennent's Lager for me.  And don't forget to have some Irn Bru, as well!

Good Afternoon, Steel Horse Bailey;

Thank you for your kind words!

I'll gladly hoist a Tennents in your honor, the next time I find myself in Bonnie Scotland.

Oddly, a local store sells Irn Bru.  I've had it once.  Not bad, if drinking liquid bubblegum is your idea of a refreshing beverage...  :o

Cap'n Thorne,

The Irn Bru tastes better over there.  It IS sweet, tho!

Make that TWO Tennent's and a veggie or beef curry and we'll call it even!

;)
