I had a great time!  Good shooting, good food, great people.  Lots of interesting weaponry on the line:

-Krag carbines and rifles
-Trapdoor carbines and rifles
-a Rolling Block carbine
-a Swiss Vetterli
-Spencer Carbine
-Schmidt-Rubin straight pull
-Steyr M1895 straight pull carbine
-a Martini-Henri carbine.  (a loud and punishing weapon on both ends!)
-a couple of Henrys, one an Iron Frame
-66,73,92 Winchesters.

I've surely missed something!

Loved watching all these shoot.  I knocked down a long range target with a "mere" .45-70-500, in honor of Rattlesnake Jack.

The EEM match saw the 3 top shooters within one second of each other, with 3 vastly different rifles: a Krag, a Schmidt-Rubin, and a 1903 Springfield. Where else could you see that!

Sadly, the Lebel was unable to be present, due to some issues with the wife's pregnancy......but those will be all cleared up by next year! Hopefully, no new issues will come up then!

We missed ya.  They even had the camel set out.

What caliber was the Martini-Henry Carbine.  A friend of mine has one that he liberated in Afghanistan.  It has British proof marks.

IT was 577-450. Black powder.  Hard kicking round in a carbine!

Lots of Khyber pass fakes out of Afganistan.  THey do pretty good British proof marks!  (300 years of practice!)

If its a real one, it'd sure have some stories to tell.   Hope he gets it checked out, like to hear about it.
