Yes, the Mk1 Martini-Henry carbine has a rather STOUT recoil...I don't think it's out of focus - I believe the camera was shaken by the concussion...

I didn't get many photos of the Muster.  Hopefully, those of you who attended can add your photos here... please?

I guess Cathy got a few of the awards and a couple of me shooting, but she said the the camera was acting up and couldn't get more. I'll try to get some of what she took posted in the next few days.

Pitspitr, and All:

Yes, the shoulder is fine.  A little bruise on my upper bicep (where I shifted my stockweld after my shoulder wouldn't take it).  Sore for a couple days, but no damage - never even really turned black n blue.  I did have some concerns about a cervical vertebra (C5/C6) fusion I had a few years ago, but it didn't seem to affect it.  No tingling in my hand or fingers.  About ready to do it again!  I had a BLAST (pun definitely intended).

If you shifted the butt out onto your bicep with a M-1873 Springfield it would be your nose that's sore. When you put a trapdoor out on you bicep it will catch you under the nose and bring tears to your eyes every shot.

Very nice pictures, Bob.  Got home a few days ago and this is first chance to view.  How's the 45-70 loading coming? Got a new mold for 44 WCF (Much thanks to Drydock!) and excited about casting some real period bullets and getting down to some real long-range testing. I shall also have the rifle sighted-in before next Muster unlike the last one.
