Bear jawbone grip with cable Damascus blade and Southern Cheyenne style sheath......









it's designed to be worn on a bandoleer which isn't finished yet........

BTW - cable Damascus can be documented to the 1860's - not common but.........

What's the history of cable damascus? I assume it starts with steel cable that's hammered out and folded? Was this a way to re-use steel or a specific school of damascus-making?
