Was wondering of possible options for addition of front sight for my Pietta new army 1858. The front sight appears to be bent and the gun shoots left about 4 inches at 25 yards. At first I thought it was just me, but same with others shooting the gun. Are the sights from the target model able to be used?? Any help would be appreciated.

I would order a front sight from Dixie, have your barrel dovetailed, and instal the Dixie sight.
A humble suggestion from a Uberti owner  ;)

Thank you sir. I appreciate the advise.  Would you know how the front sigts are attached, ie screwed in,pressed or maybe silver soldered???  Grumpy

The Uberti front sight is a dovetail design and can be fitted to a Pietta (I have done it).  The Pietta front sight is soldered in, I believe, but are prone to fall out at times...  Brownells has dovetail cutters.  So does your local gunsmith.
