A six part mini-series brought to you by the folks bringing us Hell On Wheels, (AMC).  First episode aired Sunday.  I DVR'd it and watched it this morning.  Looks pretty good.  I like that they are giving the Indians' perspective on things as well as the white mans' take on it.  Costumes and guns appear to be period correct so far.  It seems the story is starting in the mid 1820s.  It will be interesting to watch the firearms technology as time advances.  I really liked the first installment.

We film Into the West in 05.... It aired then and I think once again in 08 as I recall  ...It's been on DVD some years now.

AMC is 1st running it now... I seem to remember it was ABC in 05
