Tight new holster

I was wondering if there is anyway to slick up a new holster. I am practicing drawing from my strong side and it seems like the pistol is a tad tight coming out which slows down my draw. Heck I am new to this and it is already slow ;D. I am going to be taking an advanced shooting class at the Cowboys in Norco and just don't want this to hinder my learning the correct way to draw. My cross draw holster is good with no draw issues. I even tried to switch pistols to see if there was a problem but it still is stiff. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Rick

Howdy Cal.  Might want to read this discussion of wet-moulding a holster:

Now, if the shape is good but just a bit sticky, there are some products out there that can be rubbed into the inside of the leather to slick it up.  Have even heard of using talcum powder for that.

Thanks for the link. The gun is a bit sticky but I will try to form it first and see if it works in. If not then I will try the Talc powder or whatever else might work.

Thanks again

Rub the inside with graphite at the scuff points.

Usage will slick it up eventually, too.
