Traditionally, the « DUKE » holster is  a »backward rake »
John WAYNE wore his gun behind the high sloping hip, barrel back, saddle up to the top of the belt

Here there is 2 holsters « DUKE » modified for the C.A.S , with a belt type « RANGER'S »
1 removable cartridge for 3x2 12 cal
2 removable cartridge for 2x2 12 cal
1 removable cartridge for 5 357 cal
And a pouch
All full grain leather 3 3,5mm, and fully lined


Cutting the holsters, the billet and the « check belt »


The 2 holsters « DUKE » modified for the C.A.S, with a position of 15° to « walk and draw » in « forward rake » (gun forward)


With « frogs »

 :D :D Just bein friendly pard,all good..I think it mean you live in a place with alot of brush,and that's where you shoot or pop your rifle or whip when ya hunt...He calls him a Texas brushpopper,Texas has ALOT of brush~ ;D

Can be a short barreled rifle,i think John Wayne was kiddin him becuase he rode a shorter horse~I'm short only 5'5" my cowboy buddy called me a brushpopper sometimes cuase he was real tall..

Juste bein amicale pard, tout bon .. Je pense que cela veut dire que vous vivez dans un endroit avec beaucoup de brosse, et c'est là que vous tirez votre arme ou de la pop ou le fouet quand tu chasse ... Il l'appelle un brushpopper Texas, le Texas a BEAUCOUP de la brosse

Slye,
South Texas is full of Mesquite and other plants with thorns.  Cowboys who track cattle in that area are known as "brush-poppers."  To call someone else that is to imply that they're tough individuals capable of dealing with thorny situations.
"There are those who argue that everything breaks even in this old dump of a world of ours. I suppose these ginks who argue that way hold that because the rich man gets ice in the summer and the poor man gets it in the winter things are breaking even for both. Maybe so, but I'll swear I can't see it

yesterday, at the last shoot practice, Rio used the "brush popper" in the conversation with the others shooters, and all are happy to know a new world.......
