Are the Great Western II guns larger then other Colt clones? I had someone come look at one of my holsters I made and it would not fit. The holster was formed for an Uberti Colt clone I used to own. I am making a holster for  him and using the same pattern I used. He says he has been running into this on all holsters he has looked at.

I find the Great Western ll to be the closest thing in size and function to the Colt SAA out there today, all my Colt SAA PATTERNS fit my G.W.ll perfectly, your old holster that doesn't fit right now, might have dried out a bit, which will make for a tighter fit, it just needs the gun placed in the bucket and left there for a few days and it should be just fine, this has always worked for me.

I was looking thru my photo gallery to find a couple of pix to show you and came upon this one. In the left side of the pix is one of my Great Westerns, and in the right side holster is a Taylors Cattleman. they fit identically

I use several Taylors, a couple of Colts and several Great Westerns in the same rigs with no problems. (and they are 38/357 and 45lc.

BTW: the rig pictured is one of my rigs made for me by RedDog Leather outof Kentucky.

hope that gives you a visual.

I have 2 Great Westerns and use patterns for Colt SAA's for the holster as well.  They have fit fine in the 3 sets I have made.  I used a different style of Will Grohmley's patterns.
