Back in April I ordered a 4", .45 Sheriff Model with nickel finish.  It was delivered to the shop last Friday and I picked it up yesterday.  It is exactly what I have come to expect from USFA, beautiful.  Fit and finish are top notch.  Whoever did the metal polishing job prior to plating did an excellent job.  No dished out screw holes.
The Sheriff model comes with the black powder frame and a v-notch rear sight.  Normally I do not care for the v-notch sight (my eyes are getting old!) but USFA seems to have made a bit of improvement over the traditional Colt style "V".  It is a bit wider and deeper than typical and offers a much better sight picture.  I also note that all current USFA's come with the conical firing pin.
So why a 4" Sheriff Model?  Don't know!  Sure didn't need one but the picture in the catalog looked so nice that I just had to order one.  Hopefully I will get a chance to go out and shoot it within the next week or two.

So where's the picture??!!??     ???
