The 2012 NCOWS Midewst Regionals are now History.

It was an awesome three day event hosted by the Wisconsin Old West Shootists at their beautiful range in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. On Friday Long Range Rifle Matches and Side Matches were held and we were treated to a tasty Cowboy Campfire supper complete with western singers for entertainment. On Saturday we shot six stages followed by a fine banquet in the evening at a Steakhouse in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Everyone showed up in their finest westen duds. On Sunday we shot the final four stages and after a wonderful lunch the awards were presented. Every Shooter received a glass mug with their alias etched on it along with lots of very nice door prizes. A great time was had by all. It was a genuine pleasure to camp in such a beautiful setting.

Below is a slide show consisting of an excellent Primitive Camp set up by Beartooth Billy, Long Range Matches, Side Matches,
Stages shot and the Banquet. Lots of smoke!

Many thanks to the Wisconsin Old West Shootists for all of their hard work and dedication in puttiing on this memorable event
I can't wait until next years match.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thanks, Johnny.  It was a pleasure to have you and all the other shooters come to our range and an honor to host the Midwest Regional.  We had a lot of fun putting this shoot on and a great crew to help with all the details.  Also many thanks for posting your slide show so we can enjoy the weekend all over again!

Scores are up at www.wowsinc.org in addition to a couple more pictures.

We are looking forward to doing this next year and seeing everyone again.

It was my first trip to the WOWS range and I was very impressed with the facilities and the shoot. I took my 15 year old grandson,
it was his first ever shoot and also his first time camping in a period camp, we had a very good time. It was NCOWS at its finest,
beautiful setting, great people, and LOTS of blackpowder smoke!!!  My only concern was that more members didn't show up.
Thanks again to everyone who put it on.
