Welcome to the club! What barrel length did you get? A word of warning....they are addicting! I started out with a 5-1/2", and then I picked up an 8" model. I rounded off the collection with another 5-1/2"......

I recently picked up a 5 shot R&D .45 Colt cylinder and it works great.....

Pghrich,

I don't know if Papa Bear is still on the green side of the grass. Have not heard from him in years. Let me know what name to use to add you to the SCORRS roster and I will take care of it.

Good morning all, heres a little more detail on my first range trip, i built a rather primative revolver loading stand and it seems to work pretty good, i probaly will make some mods to it later. I started out with 25g goex 3f and a wonder wad then .454 ball all 6 shots into a very nice group at 30feet with a two handed hold standing unsupported, i loaded all the way up to 35g of goex 3f with very little change in elevation and windage, heres my problem, when shooting right handed i shoot to the left about 2 inches, when shooting left handed i shoot to the right about 2 inches, i have this problem with all my single action revolvers, i am basicially left handed but feel comfortable shooting right handed as well, of course i close the proper eye each time, what am i doing wrong???  thanks for reading pghrich

I had a problem early on of shooting a bit to the right . . . . found that I was using my trigger finger to partialy support the revolver ( ie.  under the frame with the upper side of the trigger finger).   I modified my grip so that my trigger finger was no longer supporting and eneded the "pull" to the side that my trigger pull was causing.  Look to this.

thanks for the suggestion, i never throught of that, especially since i do the same thing using either hand, i will try that and let you know, pghrich

pghrich

rbertalotto that is a very impressive colection for such a short period of time, unfortionately my meager pension will only allow my purchases to be perhaps 1,2,3,4,5, so on a year i hope, pghrich
