A friend of mine wanted a pouch type shotgun belt for cas shooting, so I made him one. I don't think I will be making any more of these soon, WAY more work than the regular sewn loop type.

That looks like it'll do the trick for him. I think I'd rather sew loops, too. Thanks for sharing.

Hi

Its been  years since I worked on a belt, but from what I remember about the rivets, they're one hole, two taps with the mallet, pretty much the same cutting.  Why was it harder than sewing?  I would have thought it was a wash.

Thanks

There is much more set-up with the pouch type. You have to set-up the lines for cutting out the pouches, then cut all those corners on the pouch strip, and then you have to set-up the marks for the holes on the belt. Then there is a LOT of hole punching. The riveting itself isn't too bad. With a regular belt I only have to set-up lines on the straight strip and the belt and then sew.

Slim, you did a nice job, but I agree, loops are much easier, just like Will said too.

Beautiful job, but, I agree...waaaaay too much work. The end result, though,is great!
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.
