Six Gun Saint

Here's my Uberti Matched Pair, S/N RS0XXX and LS0XXX:

Just got 'em the other day.  They're .45 Long Colt, 5 1/2" barrel.  I'm quite pleased with them!
The above may or may not be influenced by medications and/or alcohol...  (i.e. don't blame me if it's bad spelling/incoherent)

here is a shot of my "retirement" Colt, and it's brother by different mother, an all black GW2. When I got the GW, I felt it fairly cried out for a set of Colt hard rubber grips, so the late Bob "OlLone$um" Shaw fitted them and a Colt base pin. Holding them and working the actions, with eyes closed they are virtually identical.

If that all black/blue  finish hadn't been so scarxe I almost would have wished it was CCH'd. Debbie of EMF was almost mad at me for stripping off the white grips. (but she had to admit it was dang pretty.

My new revolvers.  Uberti Cattleman Matching Set, nickel, 5-1/2" barrels in 45 Colt.  I'll be at the range this weekend breaking them in.  Now I need some nice leather to hold them.

UH OH, the guy my mother warned me about... :o :o :o :o ;D

That 44 was walking by at a GRB gunshow in downtown Houston for $100 so I grabbed it. Rusty and funky, almost couldn't get it apart, had to use my heliarc rig to warm it up in spots to get the screws to break loose. Got it apart and the case color was shot and it was pitted from rust so I polished the frame a lil bit with Scotchbrite discs on an air tool.
Did the brass with some rouge and polishing wheels on an end grinder.

The auto guys and even a few of the revolver folks get a kick out've it at the range, doesn't take much to talk em into tryin' it out LOL!

That was yer mom? ::)

She don't like talkin' about any of her babydaddys, especially you for some reason. She freaks out and hollers and stuff like when she gets close to marannaise in the store. Momma likes mustard and peanut butter but I think she hates you more than marannaise...

Just so all you pards here don't think either one of us has slipped off our rocker..........

Trueno is a pard of mine that followed me over here (by invite) from one of my other gun hobbies, collecting and building AK rifles.
He is one heck of a guy and one heck of a welder ;)

The gun on the right is conciderably older, late 80s ASM. The gun on the left is an Uberti from the early 2000s.  about the only differance Ive found is the Uberti has a thicker front sight.

At one point I bought steel grip frames for these but I like the brass so much Ive never put them on. One day Ill take them off and have them engraved. One of my daughter inlaws works at a place that does engraving. I think a few curly ques and Ive named them after my twins " Lefty & Righty"! DR

Whoa, very nice. Looks to be a good job on sculpting/trimming the foam for the case too, gonna try that myself sometime. On the steel frames, where's the best deal at nowadays?

Greetings,

I can't remember if I've shared these yet or not; but I'll post them anyway.  Cimarron Pietta made 7th Cav editions in 45 Colt with Cody Conagher action work.  Mernickle rig with US markings; Dyer cartridge box from Fort Laramie frontier trading post.

Here are my matched pair of Uberti Cattleman 45 Colt, 5-1/2" barrel.   I was very pleased with them right out of the boxes.

I use mine for gunfight stunt shows/living history. At one point there was a significant chip (1/4") in the right grip panel. Instead of replacing it, I used Gorilla epoxy mixed with walnut sawdust to recreate the wood. Worked like a champ.

Greetings,

Those are some very fine looking hoglegs.  I'm thinking I will have to get a brace of stainless 7 1/2's someday to add to the collection.
