Blade Show - Atlanta

Yesterday I went to the Blade Show in Atlanta.  Let me tell you there are alot of very talented people out there.  Visited with one leather crafter from Fla. who specializes in exotic leather..absolutely fantastic....also I finally got to meet and spend some time with Mr. Paul Long.  For those of you who are not familiar with him  he is one of the premier sheath makers in the US.  I believe Chuck knows him pretty well.  Next week he actually has two students coming to his shop ...one from China.

The knife maker that I deal with had a booth so I was knid of in and out of the booth...but a good time...I missed Cliff Fendley...but he was unable to attend due to a previous engagement...maybe next time

Would have liked to have been able to hang out a while Outrider but I went to the NCOWS Nationals instead. They fell on the same weekend so I opted to shoot the Nationals plus had some gun leather to deliver.

No GCR I didn't buy anything...but I did deliver a new gunbelt rig to a fellow that is just now getting into SASS...all in all I fell in love with numerous knives...but alas funding not there for waht I wanted....but I am happy to have that boot knife that Jon Graham made for me...I have been so busy lately I have not had the time to make a sheath for myself...go figure

I see John Cohea had a beautiful scrimshawed  piece on display. I know Paul long. Makes great knife sheaths  . He and John Cohea are GOOD personal friends. I was hoping to go and buy a few pieces  but with my health cant travel. So I ordered some instead. KT
