It's an old 1800s or later silk collapsable top hat~ I endevoured to perservere~

Came all the way from France,i paid 30.00 for it,have you seen the price of these old hats??? They go for hundreds in the US.

I'd have bet it was silk, but had to ask anyway.  Now you need a Lo-o-o-o-ong cigarette holder like FDR used, a ratty white silk scarf, and a monocle.  Then you could grab a nasty cat-like critter and go after Pinoccio.
