howdy yall,
i aint had a compooter lately so i can't make many post, but i have been keeping myself busy with projects.
here is a double shooting pouch that i made from some of my brain tan. it has black and white 6/0 beads and i lined it with russian sheeting. my good pard allen harrison made the powder horn from a buffalo horn. my pard cody livingston made the deer horn stoper. deer horn powder measure i drilled out to hold 50 grains of the all so holy black powder.
allen also made the twisted "turnscrew" and the oval striker. i made the belt from a old saddle and add one of will ghormley's brass hand of Gods buckle. i copied the knife sheath from a old a.j. miller painting.  i have my original wilson butcher in sheath. the small braintan pouch is trimed in blue and white 6/0 beads and holds my old arkansas wet stone

Great looking gear. Billy!  That truly looks like something a mountain man/plainsman would be wearing and using!

well since you asked

in a small braintanned pouch i carry a spare jag, worm and ball puller. a brass oil bottle with bear oil in it. a extra roll of patches. a round tin of my home made bullet lube and a brass tin for caps. a loading block made from black wal nut that cody livingston made for me. the "turnscrew" made by allen harrison hangs on a braintan wang tied to the pouch as does the loading block  and some patches. a braintan pouch full or round balls. and a friction folder for skinning critters and trimming patches. i apologize but i don't know who made the knife, but it is a dang fine knife

Great stuff pard. I know you go for the period stuff so I wasn't afraid to ask.  ...well okay, "the Shit" may not be a period label but but it is pure awesome. I need some in my kit. I really like the stag-handle folding knife. That is a great touch.

Here are the cleaning tools I use. The stuff on the green bag are m1855 Rifle Musket accessories I use for CW.  My flint wallet is more for my pre-1850s outings. I used my ball-screw the last time I shot. I dropped a gil of water down the barrel and the screw bit in quick. I made the revolver brush as close to the originals as I could.

Thanks Joe. I agree with Wyldwylliam, Billy's put a lot of work in his kit. I always like seeing new stuff especially coming out of winter.
