In a small town quick mart/feed store/army surplus, came across an old wood framed Cot.  Paid $20, great shape, no holes or tears in fabric.  Light tan color, almost a burlap weave canvas.  Canvas secured to the frame with rope, looped thru eyelets both in the edge of the fabric, and another strip of canvas sewn to the underside.  Large military style ID patch on the underside intact, but faded out.  Small tag attached to the edge of the patch still legible, reads "Goquillon 116.56,  Clermont-Ferrand"  which Google tells me is a French address.

Well, with the wood and burlap and rope, it looks old timey enough to belong in my tent!  Though I might entertain offers from folks with Lebels . . .
