The Alchemista II is made by Pietta and takes its name from Alessandro Pietta's SASS alias, Alchemista. The revolvers is essentially a Colt SAA clone with an 1860 Army revolver grip assembly and a lowered, mounted shooting style hammer.

I enjoyed the video and am glad to see Pietta fully engaged in the SAA market.  Do we know for sure that this is the same grip frame that Pietta uses on its bp '60 Army frame guns?  My thought is that all of the Navy frames that get saved on this project need to be put on all of those '60 Army models for those of us who want to play 'turn-about is fair play'!  What with my short fat fingers I am on the other end of the spectrum and actually prefer the Birds Head grip when shooting Duelist style.

I have one of these in .44-40 and plan to get another.  I prefer the Army grip size.  Both my RM Conversions & Open Tops (both in 44 Colt) have Army grips.
